African leaders, delegations to receive warm welcome in Ethiopia

BY MENGESHA AMARE

ADDIS ABABA- African leaders and delegations who will take part in the 35th AU Summit are expected to get warmest welcome in Ethiopia for standing by Ethiopia’s side during the hard times, said the Government Communications Service (GCS).

Briefing journalists on the current affairs yesterday, GCS Minister Legesse Tulu (PhD) said all necessary preparations are well underway to warmly welcome guests form allover Africa. Holding the 35th AU summit in Addis is a big diplomatic victory for Ethiopia as it has successfully smashed smear campaigns of enemy quarters , he said.

As to him, despite the relentless efforts of some countries who had evidently sympathy or particular relations with the leadership of the terrorist TPLF who tried to relocate the venue of the summit from Addis to some other site, Ethiopia’s diplomatic battle has ended with a glowing success because it has managed to work behind the curtain and convince the leaders of Africa to be back to Addis where there is the seat of the AU and all the conference halls are ready to host them.

The decision of African leaders to hold the summit in person in Addis has showcased Ethiopia’s effective diplomatic efforts and its unwavering stance for pan Africanism. All citizens are expected to create inviting atmosphere to make leaders feel at home and ensure the security. Citizens particularly the youth are called on to move in a coordinated manner to keep Addis and the country much more safe.
