ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Political Parties Joint Council has urged all stakeholders to work for the successful accomplishment of national dialogue.
Speaking at the first Congress of the Prosperity Party, Council Chief Rahel Bafe (PhD) said the council has been working on solving the basic issues that could not be solved either by operational government laws and election but, through national dialogue.
The chief stressed that political parties, civic organizations, scholars and all stakeholders should discharge their responsibility to solve the basic problem of the country. Especially, the ruling party owes historical responsibility to achieve successful dialogue adding that the dialogue needs inclusiveness and transparency principles.
As to her, political parties have major responsibility to ensure sustainable peace and development. Rahel further highlighted that at the congress is a great victory passing through the various artificial and natural challenges, especially the past three year’s instability of the country. “Currently political parties have been striving to foster democracy, protect human rights and ensure rule of law.”
