ADDIS ABABA- A total of 2160 tons of emergency humanitarian food aid from China are being distributed among IDPs in northern Ethiopia, so disclosed the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Ethiopia.
In a press release sent to The Ethiopian Herald the embassy stated that there are huge number of IDPs in northern Ethiopia. To help address this humanitarian challenge, the Government of China donated 2160 tons of food to the Government of Ethiopia, demonstrating the deep friendship between the two countries and peoples.
President Xi Jinping recently indicated that the everlasting spirit of China-Africa friendship features sincere friendship and equality, win-win for mutual benefits and common development, fairness and justice, and progress with the times, openness and inclusiveness.
In this spirit, China will stand firmly with Ethiopia and other African countries, earnestly implement the outcomes of the FOCAC conference, and jointly build a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era, it was learnt.
