ADDIS ABABA- Minister of Innovation and Technology has expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to further strengthen multilateral relationship with Russia. The Russian Embassy celebrated Russia Day at the embassy in the presence of officials, representatives and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia Belete Molla (PhD) congratulated the Russians and expressed the desire of Ethiopia to preserve and enhance relations with Russia. “The relation between Ethiopia and Russia which is highly based on trust and supporting each other will continue flourishing.” The long standing relation between the two countries in multilateral issues will further boost, he stated.
The minister also commended the people and government of Russia for their support in education, canceling debt, and support for the people and government of Ethiopia at the UNSC during that tough time.
Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin on his part stressed a special level of relations between Russia and Ethiopia, and expressed confidence that the two countries will continue to develop their ties successfully for the benefit of countries, international peace and security.
Organized by the Russian Embassy in Addis Ababa, Russia Day celebration was attended by representatives of the Ethiopian Government, members of the diplomatic missions accredited in Addis Ababa and Russian fellow citizens living in Ethiopia.
