French Ambassador pays visit to TPLF- ravaged institutions in Dessie

ADDIS ABABA– Ambassador of France to Ethiopia Rémi Maréchaux visited Wollo University and Dessie General Specialized Hospital that have been ravaged by the terrorist TPLF forces yesterday.

During the course of the visit, Dessie General Specialized Hospital Manager Dr. Haimanot Ayele briefed the Ambassador and his delegation on the destruction inflicted by the terrorist TPLF forces on the health care institution.

He said the TPLF militants looted medical equipment and deliberately destroyed facilities in the hospital.

Wollo University President Mengesha Ayene (PhD), for his part explained to the delegation on the massive destruction the terrorist TPLF troops inflicted on the higher education institution.

 Mengesha told the delegation that the militants have looted properties and destroyed facilities including libraries, laboratories, among others. He also briefed the delegation on activites under way to restore damaged properties in the university.

 Ambassador Rémi Maréchaux, for his part, reaffirmed commitment of France to support rehabilitation and rebuilding activities being carried out by the government to restore institutions and infrastructures destroyed by TPLF.
