USAID/Ethiopia Support Program (ESP) aims to provide pathways to a more democratic and stable Ethiopia by building an enabling environment for peaceful and inclusive consensus building processes. To this end, ESP works to strengthen intra- and inter-group relationships and actions, advance inclusive and constructive public discourse. Dexis Consulting Group is USAID’s implementing partner for ESP.
Dexis will provide the personnel, systems, and technical capacity needed to ensure that the USAID Ethiopia Support Program is operational, grant-ready, and active in activity implementation. Dexis’ Field Team brings the USAIDs experience, relevant field experience, and operations savvy necessary for Dexis to quickly research, identify, and develop grants for activities with local organizations.u202f
Dexis is seeking a Driver for ESP. This is a full-time position based in Mekelle, Tigray Region.

Safely transporting staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.

Maintain the vehicleu202fandu202fkeep current on all vehicle maintenanceu202fsuch asu202frefueling, tire pressure, etc., as well as conductu202fsafety checks andu202fvehicle logs.u202fu202fu202f

Operateu202fvehicles according to all security and drivers’u202fmanuals.u202fu202fu202f

Work with Office Manager/HR Assistant to support logistics team, program staff and any other need for transport in Tigray Region, and Other Regions.u202fu202fu202f

Job Requirements

At least two years of experience as a driver for an international organization.u202fu202fu202f

Licensed driver with clean driving safety record.u202fu202fu202f

High-level of integrity, with ability to accomplish tasks independently and onu202ftime.u202fu202fu202f

Familiarity with local and regional routes.u202fu202fu202f

Ability to travel to multiple regions as required.u202fu202fu202f

Basic spoken English required

Ability to speak Tigrigna preferred.u202fu202fu202f
