Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director the Income Generating Activities Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the overall income generating activities of Cheshire Ethiopia.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the overall IGAs of CE.
  • Proactively participates in baseline and end line data collection for IGA interventions.
  • Assists CE Centers involved in IGAs identify and develop market links for their products.
  • Harmonizes the implementation of IGA activities within the intervention areas and ensuring good collaboration and networking with other partners operating in the production of similar products or services
  • Supervises activities of the Physical Rehabilitation Centre and the Lease Administration
  • Establishes and maintains a good rapport with project beneficiaries, as well as local government officials, community leaders and relevant local organizations;
  • Develop and share monthly, quarterly and half yearly progress/monitoring reports to the Center Managers and the Executive Director
  • Take active part in the planning, implementation, review and reporting process
  • Comply with the Organization Child protection Policy, Gender policy, Statement of Commitment to child protection and adherence to Ethiopian laws and that of our partner
  • Maintain and promote good image of the organization with its associates, including donors, clients, partners and Federal and local government authorities
  • Work jointly with resource mobilization and communication manager.
  • Expected to give guidance on Prosthetic and Orthotics workshops of CE whenever the need arises.
  • Check the lease building for its maintenance and that unoccupied floors are leased on time.
  • Performs other similar duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements

Education

  • MBA/ MA or Bachelor’s degree/Post graduate degree in Business management or finance or Accounting

Experience

  • 6/8 years relevant experience (private sector experience is advantageous)

Skills

  • Best track records as a business leader

Demonstrated leadership

  • Selling the vision; passionate for result; leading change & empowerment
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement the organization’s Strategic Plan
