Job Description

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU Vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Insurance Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Keep insurance documents and data properly, follow up expiry date of insurance policies and make notification in advance for renewal of those policies, collect medical certificates and receipts and reconcile it with the amount to be refunded, and follow up settlement of premiums.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and keep insurance documents and files properly.
  • Follow up expiry of insurance policies and report it to the immediate supervisor in advance.
  • Register and keep relevant insurance data in a soft copy and present it when requested.
  • Collect medical certificates and receipts reconcile it with the amount to be refunded, and submit it to the insurer.
  • Monitor, process, and organize different insurance claims.
  • Follow up the process of settlement of claims to expedite its timely completion.
  • Draft letters, memos and correspondences for the approval and signature of the appropriate manager.
  • Follow up to ensure timely settlement of premium payments requests.
  • Prepare and review insurance-claim forms and related documents for completeness
  • Handle office administration routines such as telephone calling, emailing, etc.
  • Prepare performance reports for submission to the Insurance head.

Job Requirements

Required Number : 1(One)

Qualification : College Diploma or BA Degree in Insurance or Supply management or related field

Work Experience : 4 years for College Diploma, and 2 years for BA Degree graduate in relevant role

Required Competence :

  • Computer skill
  • Basic knowledge of Insurance and related aspects
  • Basic communication skill
