Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing the project from concept to handover using appropriate strategies, systems, processes, tools and resources.
- Communicate with different governmental bodies for the implementation of the project.
- Developing and implementing robust and practical project development and implementation plans, documents and standards.
- Reports on progress regarding the project execution.
- Understanding the full range of social, political, environmental and commercial challenges of the project.
- Ensuring effective and efficient deployment and utilisation of all resources.
- Identifying, developing and sustaining productive relationships with all stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes.
- Building a positive reputation through dealing openly, fairly, sensitively and consistently with stakeholders.
- Demonstrating strong leadership and personal commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
- Demonstrating sustainable stewardship of the environment and being socially responsible.
Job Requirements
Key Skills/Experience Required
- More than 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager or facilitator in horticultural business
- Experience of company start up
- Working in floricultural business startup is desired.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- A recognized Agriculture, human resource, social science, Engineering qualification or other related fields.
Language Requirements
- English speaking and writing.
- Afaan Oromo speaking, and writing will be advantageous.
Competencies Required
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary solutions, therefore an understanding of all disciplines of engineering and the interaction and interdependency of these different skills.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking and planning skills.
- Teamwork.
- Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of the complete Microsoft package.
- Sound planning, administration, and stakeholder liaison skills are required.
- Proven report writing skills.
