ADDIS ABABA– Ethiopia’s high-level government delegation led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) arrived yesterday in Brussels, Belgium to attend the sixth European Union- African Summit.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, apart from attending the Summit, Abiy will also confer with leaders of EU member states and institutions in matters of mutual significance.
During the two-day Summit, leaders are expected to discuss how both continents can build greater prosperity. The aim is to launch an ambitious Africa-Europe Investment Package, taking into account global challenges such as climate change and the current health crisis. The leaders are also set to deliberate about tools and solutions to promote stability and security through a renewed peace and security architecture, it was learnt.
