ADDIS ABABA — Afar Pastoralist Development Association (APDA) founder stated that terrorist TPLF is absolutely pushing ahead with its strategy to decimate everything as it has damaged assets and killing innocent civilians at an alarming rate.
Having a stay with BBC, APDA Founder,Valerie Browning, stated that schools are being damaged, health institutions are made dysfunctional and every infrastructure has deliberately been destroyed over the last two days. Valerie also said that it was hard to find the displaced people, because they now are very terrorized; and a number of nasty massacres upon the displaced are committed.
For example, a water tanker displaced people were using was taken by the terrorist group, shelters are burnt, and women, children, the elderly, innocent civilians are also killed using heavy artillery. Worse even, the group has put rockets into water reservoirs in the north Afar State. “We have met with the Afar state government to discuss what to as people are running to all directions carrying children because they have no food; it is very trying and disgusting.
“We have a mobile health team up there and they are walking with camels to assist them. Even though the Afar themselves were starving they allowed trucks into the neighboring Tigray state through the town of Abqaala, in KilbattiRasu (Zone 2 of Afar state), the town where TPLF and their supporters first attacked. Theycouldn’t understand that Afar were not going to be supported by WFP and others they are in a state of hunger instead. Beside Activists have launched hash tag to be a voice for Afar people who are victims of the TPLF war, in their Twitter page.
Those who pretend to care about human rights are conveniently in deafening silence as TPLF is opening a new wave of attack on the people of Afar, killing and displacing civilians. The belligerent TPLF is far from peace and negotiations, said Suleiman Abdella, Activist. “Afar is bleeding and shedding for Ethiopia and the least we can do for them is to be a voice.”
Children injured and disabled by the TPLF terrorists in Afar. The brutal massacre must be condemned by the International Community. Those organizations who call themselves human right organization should denounce it, and humanitarian assistance bemust delivered as soon as possible, Muhammed Zeynu, Human right Activist urged.
