ADDIS ABABA – Ambassador Awall Wagris presented his exequatur on Tuesday to Ambassador Khalil Yaqoub Al khayat, the acting under secretary of the Ministry of foreign affairs for consular and administrative affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Ambassador Awall had a very important and successful discussion with Ambassador Khalil on a variety of bilateral issues. He also presented a briefing about the current political and economic developments in Ethiopia.
Among the various issues raised and discussed during the meeting were finalizing the ongoing labor agreement between the two countries, paving the way to resume permanent flights between Addis Ababa and Manama and working together to get amnesty to the runaway citizens. Further steps which are vital to strengthen bilateral relationship between the two countries and other very important issues were entertained during the meeting.
Ambassador Awall thanked the kingdom’s Minister of foreign affairs for the support he and his team in the consulate general received thus far and hoped this type of support would hold in discharging his mission as Ethiopia’s envoy to the kingdom.
The Ambassador said the diplomatic relationship between the two countries is going to be exemplary at all levels and he would keep working to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
