Ethio telecom inks MoUs with four entertainment companies

ADDIS ABABA– Ethio telecom signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with entertainment companies such as Sewasew, Habeshaview, iconnect and Technolab to modernize the entertainment industry.

During the signing ceremony, Telecom Chief Marketing Officer Seid Argaw said that: “Our company provides accessible, quality, reliable inclusive telecom financial services via digital entertainment Apps that are widely accessible to professionals who encourage and directly accessible to the community.”

“These MoUs create enabling environment for service industry and empowering Ethiopian entertainment industry IPTV or streaming service, Telegames and Sewasew music streaming.”

 He further stated that beneficiaries can access various contents like live TV programs, drama, movies serious, video recordings, and various premium videos easily on Habeshaview by downloading from App Store or Play Store, by texting A or B to 9107 from the app. Here, it is also possible to get daily and weekly packages.

“Telecom has also been working with twenty banks with various international remittance partners,” Seid added. It has also been working with forty government services such as electric utility services, penalty fee, booking tickets online, paying taxes, among others using telebirr, he noted.
