Gorgora Project set to complete by 2015 E.C.

ADDIS ABABA– The civil work of Gorgora Project, one of the national greenery projects reaches at 90 percent of accomplishment, the project manager said, adding the project is scheduled to be inaugurated for the coming Ethiopian year (2015).

The project manager Fisaha Assefa (PhD) told local media that the civil work of the project is 90 percent completed and the remaining activities will be accomplished in the coming few months of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.

The inauguration is scheduled for the coming Ethiopian year. The construction of the project is executed uniquely as it has wide greenery and walking areas. In this regard, each house has five classes which are made by

 concrete, water proofing, clay and limestone with conceding the architectures of the local community’s culture. The Manager further stated that the project has a huge port, over 180 meters long. Gorgora is also equipped with various facilities including amphitheater, specialty restaurant, and wind.

The project has a long-lasting importance and has an immense importance to attract investors due to the high standard of construction. The Gorgora area is rich in natural and artificial resources which have been living for a long time.

After visiting the area, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) tweeted that the Gorgora project which comprises the Dine for Ethiopia initiative, was reviewed. “Much has been done in a few short months. Its completion will contribute to our other national pillar to strengthen the economy through our tourism sector.”

The Gorgora, Koysha and Wonchi are Premier Abiy’s greenery projects located in Amhara, the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples and Oromia states respectively.
